Michael Carr - Chief Executive Officer / Founder
Michael has a proven track record of driving start-up companies from concept, through commercialisation to profit. He has also delivered significant growth to global leading companies across a diverse range of product categories. Mick has the ability to inspire and attract industry leading companies to join the journey he sets out on, this will be leveraged as we commercialise and set out on our growth path. As an 8-year-old he brought Mother’s Day flowers from the back streets of the Hunter Valley and sold bunches half the size for the same amount on the main road. At 23 designed, built and launched a full commercial laundromat, securing 90% of underground mine sites through the Hunter Valley. This was achieved by commercialising a unique business and service model. At 27 developed, built and commercialised an innovative solution and channel to market for safety equipment that changed an industry and started an amazing 9- year relationship with the Fortune 500 company 3M. This was so successful that this relationship still exist and 3M are back on board for The Village Co journey. Mick’s passion and drive for The Village Co is to help as many business owners as possible to grow and survive the struggles of running a business. He is going to achieve this by developing platforms and technology to allow collaboration and access to resources/ tech that would normally be out of reach due to resource restraints.
